Adoptables

I run the rescue from my home, where the guinea pigs waiting to be adopted are treated like part of the family. They get plenty of love and care, which helps them adjust to living in a home environment. It also gives me the chance to really get to know each guinea pig. Because of this, I only have a few guinea pigs waiting for homes at any time.

Please view our Facebook Adoption Page and social media which has more up to date information about the guineas waiting for homes including current photos and videos.

Sienna, Annie and Merida

Meet our newest little girls. These three girls came into rescue after a kind-hearted member of the public stepped in when she heard they were going to be abandoned. Thanks to her help, they’re now safe, settled and being well looked after.

The girls are young, around 4–5 months old, and as I don’t know their background they’ll be staying on rescue on pregnancy watch. Because of this, they won’t be ready for adoption until April.

They’re looking well and are confident and curious girls. They are nervous of being picked up, which is to be expected. I would like them to find a forever home together, unless their personalities tell us otherwise.

As they’ll be in rescue for a little while, they are available for sponsorship to help towards their care and the care of other guinea pigs in rescue too. Please message for more information.

They’ll be looking for an indoor home with a large C&C cage (or similar), an outdoor run for warm days, plenty of fresh hay and a good variety of veggies twice a day.

Tiger

Age: 6 months old

Sex: Female

Health: Good

Temperament: A beautiful baby girl from our recent intakes. Tiger was mis-sexed by a pet store and had been living with Vinnie in a school. An observant and concerned member of staff contacted me for help when they suspected Tiger was female. To prevent further breeding, Vinnie was separated. Tiger was already pregnant and had four babies on 10/2/26. Tiger will be available for adoption in April when she has weaned her babies. She has had 3 baby girls and it would be ideal if she could be rehomed with one of these. She could join other female guineas or a neutered male.

Location: Tyne and Wear

Pippa (reserved)

Pippa arrived on 21st December following severe neglect. She was malnourished, very thin, with hair loss and untreated mite and fungal infections. She arrived with her three young babies, who were also suffering from a serious fungal infection.

Pippa was already pregnant on arrival and had her last litter in rescue on 13/2/2026. Three beautiful girls and a little boy. Once she has weaned this litter, she will be available for adoption.

Due to her history, Pippa will only be considered for a gold-standard indoor home with a large C&C enclosure, unlimited good-quality hay, and a varied selection of fresh vegetables twice daily. It would be ideal if she could be rehomed with one of her baby sows.

Pippa is currently receiving lots of love and care. She is a curious, friendly girl who enjoys exploring.

Teddy (reserved)

Lovely Teddy arrived on 21st December. He has been severely neglected and is malnourished, thin with hairloss and a mite and fungal infection. He is quite uncomfortable but receiving treatment and lots of food. He has a good few months of recovery ahead but I am hopeful he will be well and looking for a home in Spring 2026. He is a sweet little boar who we are looking forward to getting to know. He is very curious and always has his little nose poking over the cage to say hello. He will likely be neutral so he can join a sow or group of sows. Location Tyne and Wear. Adoption enquiries negprescue@gmail.com

Wilma, Echo and Winnie (reserved)

*Wilma and Echo are reserved*

Tiger’s three baby girls were born in rescue on 10th February 2026. They are very young, so we are just beginning to get to know them.

They will be available for adoption from April 2026. Ideally, they would be rehomed in a pair, and one could join Tiger.

They will need a loving indoor home with:
A large C&C cage
Plenty of hay
A variety of fresh veggies twice daily

Alaya, Velveteen and Aggie were born in rescue on 13th February 2026. They are only young so we are just getting to know the. They are Pippa’s babies and ideally one would be rehomed with Pippa. I would like them to be rehomed in a pair or together. They will need a large indoor C&C, lots of fresh hay and a range of fresh veggies twice a day. They could join other sows or a lonely sow or neutered boar. Location Tyne and Wear. Adoption fee £25 each. Adoption enquiries negprescue@gmail.com

Blackberry

Blackberry is a lone boar whose companion sadly died recently. His family did the right thing and got in touch with the rescue to ensure he could find a new companion and a good home.

Blackberry has already broken records here at NEGPR… officially our heaviest guinea pig ever tipping the scales at over 1.7 kg.

He is currently on limited nuggets and having regular exercise to try to lose some weight.

He’s only just settling in but already seems like a confident, chilled-out boy. He will likely be castrated so he can join a sow or two in the future.

Cleo and Luna

Cleo and her daughter Luna came into rescue as part of a recent intake after kind members of the public stepped in and contacted the rescue to ensure they received the care they need.

This lovely mother and daughter pair have been neglected and are understandably nervous at the moment. They haven’t had the best start in terms of care and handling, but they are settling in.

Luna is about 11 weeks old and Cleo is about 6 months old.

They are looking for a calm, patient owner who is experienced with guinea pigs. They could join a group of guinea pigs.

As a bonded pair, they must be rehomed together. They will need an indoor home with a large C&C, lots of hay and fresh veggies twice daily.

Arthur

Arthur is a handsome young boar (approximately 7 months) who came into rescue alongside his young sons, Archie. Arthur and Archie needed a helping hand, and thanks to kind members of the public reaching out, they now have the chance of the loving home they deserve.

Arthur is neutered and would like to join a suitable group of sows.

He hasn't had very good care and is understandably nervous. However, he is curious and will shine given time. He will need a calm and confident owner who is experienced with guinea pigs.

He will need an indoor home with a large C&C or equivalent, lots of hay and fresh veggies twice daily. He will be available for adoption from 14th March.

Alfie and Arlo

Archie and Arlo came into rescue yesterday after some kind members of the public recognised they needed help and contacted us to ensure they received the care they deserve and the chance of loving homes.

These boys are almost 11 weeks old. Ideally, they will be rehomed in pairs, although one could be bonded with a suitable lonely boar.

They haven’t had the best start in terms of care and handling, so they are understandably nervous at the moment.

However, they are already showing curiosity, and with time, patience and gentle, confident handling, their little personalities will begin to shine through.

They are looking for calm, kind homes that have experience of guinea pigs and are happy to give them the time they need to build trust. They will need an indoor home with a large C&C cage or equivalent, lots of hay and fresh veggies twice daily.

I have guinea pigs arriving into the rescue all the time. If you can’t see any suitable matches listed here, please do still get in touch.

Guinea pigs are often matched with adopters shortly after arriving in rescue, and there may be a guinea pig or group who have recently arrived or are currently receiving treatment who would be a good fit for your home.

Please get in touch to let us know what you are looking for, along with details of your setup, and I will help if I can.

Many thanks.
